The November 2013 brochure specified a "Winter Package" with front seat heating and pre-heating of the battery etc. In the January 2015 brochure I used when purchasing my i3 REX, this is standard and I certainly have heated front seats in my i3 delivered in late May 2015.

The heat pump is only available on the all battery version, not he REX version. As BMW says in its US technical manual: 5kW of heating output needs 5.5kW of battery power but with the heat pump, only 2.5 kW is needed. From what I have read, the integration of a heat pump in to the heating/cooling system is complicated.
